Sightseeing Spots: Nishiki Area
Katakuri Center
A multi-purpose facility opened near a katakuri (dogtooth violet) colony on April 8, 2006. It has a conversation room, Japanese paper workshop, cooking laboratory, processing plant of agricultural products, and shower rooms.
In the Japanese paper workshop, visitors can experience making Japanese paper and its material from the kozo tree (a paper mulberry) for 500 yen per person.
