Sightseeing Spots: Tazawako Area
People's Forest of Akita Prefectures
This
forest park was the site of the national Shokujusai (tree-planting
ceremony) in 1968, and the national Ikujusai (tree-growing ceremony)
in 1983. The trees of each prefecture are planted according to areas,
arranged in an image of the country. 0.8km clockwise from the campground,
10 minutes on foot.
