Sightseeing Spots: Nyuto Area
Senshogahara
Known
as the largest moor in Hachimantai National Park. Senshogahara is a high moor
located on the eastern side of Nyutosan mountain. As its name, field of thousand
swamps, it is sprinkled with more than 900 mire pools large and small. The
colorful alpine flora characteristic to moors and the beautiful scenery soothes
the hearts of hikers. Best season is from June to October.
